How can digital trunking help my business?
TelePacific Trunks provide high-end, business-critical standards, with a towering level of service reliability. TelePacific Trunks have a DS-1 digital transmission facility, 1.544 Mbps, and a time division multiplexed into 24 channels. What is an Inbound Trunk, and what does it include?
The Inbound Trunk group is set up for inbound calls only (calls made to the customer's business).

Inbound features include:

  • T1 loop
  • Hunting (selection of a specific trunk)
    • MIDL—Most Idle: Next call is routed to the most idle trunk in the group.
    • LIDL—Least Idle: Next call is routed to the least idle trunk in the group.
    • Ascending: Trunk group fills from lowest numbered trunk to highest.
    • Descending: Trunk group fills from highest numbered trunk to lowest.
  • Caller ID (additional charge per line)

What is an Outbound Trunk, and what does it include?
The Outbound Trunk group is set up for outbound calls only (calls made by the customer's business).

Outbound features include:

  • T1 loop
  • LATA-wide calls included in the service plan

What is 2-Way Trunking, and what does it include?
Two-Way Trunking combines the functionality of Inbound and Outbound Trunks.

2-Way features include:

  • T1 loop
  • LATA-wide calls included in the service plan
  • Hunting (selection of a specific trunk)
    • MIDL—Most Idle: Next call is routed to the most idle trunk in the group.
    • LIDL—Least Idle: Next call is routed to the least idle trunk in the group.

What is Direct Inward Dial (DID), and what does it include?
DID allows calls to a customer to be routed directly to an employee station or fax machine without going through a receptionist or auto attendant. This feature allows customers to assign seven-digit telephone numbers directly to employee telephones on the local network.

  • DID, including blocks of numbers
