TelePacific provides email hosting for customers with their own
domain name.
SMTP Settings:
- IF you have your own company mail server,
THEN, please utilize your company mail server as your SMTP setting.
* Please Note the following*:
1) You will be required to have a DNS PTR record (that matches
your A record) for your email server, if you want to send
to ISPs such as AOL. Contact our Customer Technical Support Center
at 877-487-8349, option 2 if you have not previously requested
this DNS PTR record.
2) Please take appropriate steps with regards to SPF and DomainKeys
(which are anti-spam protocols: http://spf.pobox.com) to ensure
your company email server will not be rejected by other ISPs
with strict email rules.
3) Due to abuse issues, Telepacific will not SMTP relay for
your domain.
- IF you are using TelePacific's email hosting
service (such as vipmail.telepacific.net),
THEN, please utilize the appropriate vipmail server name as
your SMTP setting (same as your POP setting).
* Please Note
the following*:
1) Please remember that you must successfully check your email
account before being able to send email. In technical speak,
you must POP into your vipmail account (generally by hitting
the send/receive button) to authenticate before you will be
able to send email through our server. You will experience
errors and/or will not be able to send email if you do not
follow this process.
2) Vipmail users MUST have the appropriate vipmail server
name for BOTH incoming and outgoing email server settings.
Failure to do this will result in errors and delays for your
mail and those of your fellow users.

* IMPORTANT* - TelePacific’s email servers are not
to be used to send out bulk email; customers
sending out bulk
email may be blocked, without prior notice,
for violations of the AUP (Acceptable
Use Policy).
- IF your email services are being hosted by a third-party provider
THEN, please utilize that company's SMTP server.
