Mail Administration Settings

  • VIPMAIL.TELEPACIFIC.NET: vipmail, vipmail2, vipmail3, and vipmail4.telepacific.net

  • POP Server: pop.telepacific.net

  • SMTP Server: smtp.telepacific.net

  • Note: The login account is your complete email address

Logging Into the Server and Postmaster account
Use the administrative account Postmaster. Enter your domain and password provided to you.

Creating a new POP email account
To create a POP Account click on “Email Accounts” under the Main Menu.
Go to the bottom right hand corner and click on “Create Email Account”
Enter your new Email Account and password.For Real name enter your full name or you may leave it blank. Click on the “Add” tab.
Your new account has been successfully added.Follow the steps above to add additional POP Accounts.To modify an account click on the “Modify User” button.

Changing Passwords
To change your password, enter your new password and verify (again). Click on the “Modify User” tab on the botton of the page to accept the changes.
Email Account password has been successfully changed.

Forwarding Email
To forward your email to another email account click on the button “Enable Forward” and enter the forwarding email address.Only check “Enable Save Copy and Forward” if you want a copy of the email being forwarded. To save the changes click “Modify User”.

Vacation Mode

To turn on Vacation mode click “Enable Vacation”. Type in the subject and the out of office message. Click “Modify User” to save the changes. All email sent to your mailbox during this time will be saved. The only exception to this rule is when your mailbox is full. Remember each mailbox is 8MB, if the storage capacity has been exceeded all subsequent email will get bounced back.

Note: If "Vacation" mode is enabled, the first 3 emails sent to the mailbox will get an auto reply message back to the sender. The fourth email and after sent to the same mailbox will NOT return an auto reply message. At the same time emails should not get lost, all email sent to the mailbox with the "vacation" enabled should be in the mailbox.

Adding Additional Forwards
To add Forwards click on “Aliases Forwards” on the "Main Menu".
To forward your email click on “Add New Forward”.
Enter the forwarding email address (user@domain.com) under “Forward Email Address”. Enter the Local Name. All mail sent to the Local Name will be forwarded to the address above.

Adding Aliases
To add Aliases, click on “Aliases Forwards” on the "Main Menu".
To add an alias click on “Add New Alias”.
Choose the email account to use with the alias. Enter the new alias. All mail sent to the alias will automatically go to your chosen email account.

Mailing Lists
To create a mailing /distribution list click on “New Mailing Lists” on the Main Menu.
Enter the name for the Mailing List such as “info”.
Mailing list has been successfully added. Click on “Add Subscriber” to add email accounts
Type in the full email address and click “Add”.
Email account has been successfully added to the mailing list. If needed, continue to add additional email accounts to the mailing list.
Click on “Show Subscribers” to list subscibers under the chosen mailing list.
Shows subscriber’s email addresses for the chosen mailing list.

Catchall Definitions

  • catchall function - is if email is being sent to the domain with pop names other than what is setup on the server and it will go to the designated email account on the server that was setup for this function.
  • setcatchall email deleted - this will delete all catchall email when it comes into the server with a bad email address.
  • setcatchall bounced - will send a bounce back to the origial recipient that there is no email account with that name on the server
  • set remote catchall - account will redirect email to a completley different email address (example - a hotmail email account)
